Today I spoke in the chamber about BBC pay. As Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the BBC, I wanted to highlight the efforts the BBC are making to ensure equal pay. An independent audit found no systematic gender discrimination, the final review of presenters, editors and correspondents will be published shortly. In light of this, in the House of Commons, I took the opportunity to ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to encourage the House to wait for the final publication of the review, before commenting further.
