Lobbying for more school funding

Last Friday, I met with Caroline Barlow, Headteacher at Heathfield Community College, to be given a copy of the school funding letter which was sent by heads across the constituency to parents.

Since 2015, I have pushed the case for increased funding so schools can cover the rising costs which they are experiencing. I promised Caroline that I would raise this in Parliament and did so the following Monday with the Education Secretary at the dispatch box.

As you will see, I asked that we get more funds for schools in areas such as East Sussex, before better-funded areas get a share.
