Huw joined Greg Barker MP for a visit around Bexhill Academy. Huw and Greg met with the new Principal, Heidi Brown, and visited the classes during lessons. Huw was shown the issues with having classrooms designed to accommodate 90 students, a project which was abandoned by the previous leadership team. The new leadership team is applying for Government funding to divide the classrooms to a third of their size. Until this occurs, temporary partitions divide each class. Huw said “It was great to meet the hard-working Principal, Teachers and Students on their Friday afternoon. Greg and I are keen to help push the funding application to put the classrooms back to a standard size. This is a vital project to help the school continue to improve.”
